[by Guillaume PRONESTI]
Wokeism is never as crazy as when religion gets involved. We knew the comic "Amen - Awomen " from an American politician: this time, it is the newspaper La Croix which offers us… an “Our Father”and more inclusive ».
The author is a certain Olivier Bauer, a “Protestant pastor and theologian” by profession… but Woke of confession. I am not exaggerating: everything must be rewritten to fit his new earthly religion: prayers, Gospels… and even God.
To justify it, he adopts the methods of the supporters of inclusive writing : to make the texts lie until it can be proven that religion " does not respect women "Just like the "masculinist" language, it can then be reshaped and politicized without remorse...
…but in a funny way: worked by the (confessed) fear of not being progressive enough, our pastor even rejects Truth, Good and Evil, and ends up reducing religion to a hilarious parody of wellness coaching, which has nothing left of “Protestantism” except the name – very useful, as we will see.
An “inclusive” theology… but above all fictitious
The "inclusive Our Father" is only a pretext. : it is do virtue-signalling progressive with the help of religious justifications… totally invented.
Olivier Bauer first asserts that we should say " God our Mother "...but deigns to add " and our Father " because "a man, or at least his sperm are necessary to co-conceive a child”The comparison is absurd (God is not a man…), but allows Mr. Bauer to pose, casually, as a defender of PMA without a father.
This is followed by a curious passage on adoptive parenting that also makes no sense – a Creator is anything but an “adoptive” father. " – but allows you to display your support for a lineage over ten lines" beyond the biological ", in short, adoption by homosexuals and trans people.
The next correction is “Let us forgive those... "...under the pretext that it would be "It's time to treat women like adults and explicitly acknowledge that they can offend us too." !
But finally, what Christian has ever claimed that women could not sin?[1]The “offense” of the Our Father actually designates sin, “debita” in the Latin original: sin is understood as a “debt” towards God, and here towards one’s fellow men.? This is no longer invention, it is a lie! Either our "theologian" doesn't know a word about the religion he teaches... or he openly takes us for fools.
He ends up giving himself away by adding: We can no longer simply state "the masculine includes the feminine"… a well-known refrain among inclusivists. Mr. Bauer simply wanted to rewrite the “Our Father” in inclusive language… under false religious pretenses.
On his blog, we also discover that our pastor has a real cult following for him. I have never seen such a debauchery of midpoints and they, very ostentatious and arranged with manic care. One would think one was seeing an old maid polishing the religious things that her aunt brought back from Lourdes.
The "inclusive" prayer also outrages readers. One of them recalls that it is stated in the Gospels, and by Jesus himself. To black out the Our Father is to deny one of the first principles of Protestantism, the " single scripture ».
The response of our “theologian” is worth quoting: he begins by insinuating that his opponent excludes women… because he does not use his beloved inclusive writing. But what follows is even stranger:

The notion of "inner witness of the Holy Spirit" does exist among some Protestants: it is the idea of an inner voice, which sometimes authorizes " not taking Scripture literally… à condition of the take seriously ».
Mr. Bauer cannot be said to do so: he evokes this very practical “testimony” to each times he wants to impose his political views on religion… and has no more arguments. It's a joker pulled from his sleeve, in short.
But there he is caught red-handed: because we know precisely who inspire you Mr. Bauer in his rewriting of the Bible : a French academic named Eliane Viennot, inventher of this militant newspeak whose precepts he follows to the letter.
Precepts justified elsewhere by proven historical lies : the Holy Spirit has a funny look! But Mr. Bauer should not worry too much about it, he who has just been seen falsifying theological arguments to translate the "Our Father" into inclusive writing.
And even more than the language of E. Viennot, Olivier Bauer will copy his methods. She cries out against the "masculinization of French", yet a linguistic impossibility, to justify a militant reform of language? He will affirm that "the Bible is not of divine essence" - against all the principles of Protestantism - to rewrite it in a way Woke.
No Holy Scripture… and Commandments à la carte
At a preach from 2018, we see our pastor using strange language: The Bible is not the Word of God…but an egalitarian “collection of texts written” by men. Too much of men from elsewhere – Mr. Bauer definitely has the art of virtue-signalling incongruous.
With green and pink bookmarks, the Bible ceases to be a fetish object. It ceases to be the Word of God, with a very capital “P” to take or leave, believe or throw away.
It becomes what it is: a library, a collection of texts, a selection of stories, poems, reflections where men, and unfortunately too few women, express their relationship with God.
O. Bauer, 2018 sermon in Auvernier
In this collection of texts, Pastor Bauer explains, we can choose the verses that we like: The Bible on the menu, what more could you ask for? inclusive ? At every command of God we can say, “ I agree "Or I disagree ».
id
Because the pink or green bookmarks are specific to each and every person. It is always an "I" who agrees or disagrees. No one can decide to place the bookmarks for someone else.

Our theologian ignore so than to reject the concept of Holy Scriptures, it is not being " very unbiblical " it is no longer being a Christian at all.
But why insist on desacralizing the Bible? We must go back a little further, to where Mr. Bauer says he wants to purge the Bible of verses that he does not like.
Because some pages don't deserve to be [in the Bible]. And I want to tear them out.
Tear out the pages that make people believe that God asks a father to sacrifice his son, […] that God asks to massacre all enemies, men, women and children, […] that God gives life and takes it away, […] that God makes women the slaves of their husbands and children […] where Paul makes people believe that slavery is legitimate!

Rewriting a divine work is embarrassing: much less if c'est un simple collection composed by hOmmes – and without respect for parity, moreover.
Hence the grotesque and forced side of Mr. Bauer's accusations.. In some violent passages of the Old Testament (the God of Moses is not a softie), he mixes notorious untruths (Paul never " justified slavery »), symbolic scenes taken literally (the sacrifice of Abraham)… Everything is good for blackening the Holy Scripture and justifying it.e rewrite.
Madame Viennot has her bête noire, the grammarian Vaugelas: Olivier Bauer uses Saint Paul[2]See source. But the method is the same: find a handful of sexist quotes, inflate their number by taking others the wrong way, then use them as a pretext to rewrite religion and language entirely in a Woke.
Faithless Pastor, Mechanical God
Our pastor betrays his true intentions when he takes the opportunity to purge verses from the Bible that are neither sexist nor violent. : like for example… the very definition of the Creator (" God gives sight and takes it away ”)!
Expelling God from the Bible is already absurd… but less so than the total nonchalance of the manner. Our theologian liquidates a fundamental dogma of his own religion, without explanation... but above all without the slightest inner shudder.
Further, it evokes just as coldly the " bad god (sic) present in the bad Bible verses. The least practicing Christian would be uncomfortable: Pastor Bauer doesn't care. It's a mystery!
The answer is simple: religiosity does not work hardly M Bauer : we look for her in vain on her blog, her courses or her sermons. Our media theologian expresses himself willingly, on many religious or secular subjects… but we don't'y never perceives the slightest trace of spiritual disquiet.
Mr. Bauer has a very different view of religion. materialist. Five thousand years of Jewish and Christian spirituality pass under his nose: elleis for him only a tool, whose only interest is the influence it has had on the world : not what she says, what she " made believe ».
This is why he purges her without remorse of the verses " obsolete » (sic). As for the Our Father, a minor Vatican correction of 2017 has « proved thatil was modifiable » (sic): religion is a machine, to recycle right away if it prevents you from following "a changing world".
So with the concept of the creator God: if Mr. Bauer abandons it, it is because he has invented another concept: the " God adoptive father and biological mother[3]See source » (sic), more inclusive and even LGBT-friendly (we saw that it authorized a filiation " beyond the biological "). So he throws the old God in the trash, as easily as one replaces an old telephone with a new one.
“Bauer sauce” Protestantism is becoming so utilitarian and worldly… that it needs to be kept up to date regularly. So, for our pastor, good religion is not based on principles… but on the opinion of his followers in the future. These little things are so quickly outdated!
I too believe badly in God. I too believe in a bad God. How will my theology be judged in a hundred years, if at all? We will say: "How could Olivier Bauer believe in or believe that or believe in...?"
id
For the first time, one feels a spiritual suffering. Oh the pain of good Mr. Bauer, unable to predict what progressivism will be fashionable in a hundred years in order to be able to subscribe to it in advance!
The (cuistre) headlong flight out of fear of the Future
The future may judge him. reactionary " – horrible word! We now understand why our good shepherd is in a hurry to be more Woke that Woke : impeccably polished inclusive writing, pro-PMA “Our Father”, and virtue-signalling even at the most unexpected times.
The result is funny : we see Mr. Bauer accusing Jesus of discriminating against the deaf due to " Who has ears hears ". Or ban the expression "paralyzed society"... so as not to offend the infirm!

But finally allowing oneself " disabled”… because an association said it before him : thus proving that our pastor cares less about the paralyzed than about being covered by the rules of political correctness.
Note that calls from dyslexic associations not to use this "writing inclusive " which excludes them, fall on the ears of the worst of the hard of hearing. For Mr. Bauer, some handicapped people are more equal than others…
To run after "a changing world ", Mr. Bauer loses all sense of the ridiculous. This is evidenced by the conference, where the worthy and hoary pastor, delighted to have purged from the Bible the verses of the " bad god "... suddenly starts humming to the tune of “Let it go, let it go!” from the cartoon Frozen. His Holy Spirit has theinspiration prankster: either Eliane Viennot or Walt Disney…
Its worship (Protestant mass) is even sold as a personal development session : between a tightrope walker show and motivational speech, you may very possibly " discover a 2000 year old text »: the Bible desecrated by Pastor Bauer.

And the height of it of the pedantry : come, you can "you" feel blessed " ! God's blessing reduced to feel good Bad business coach… Mr. Bauer never misses an opportunity to prostitute religion: first for his ideology, then to attract passers-by.
If it is not the other way around, by the way. To bless gay couples, his sledgehammer argument is… 71 : the too low number of marriages in his Church, that a more inclusive could increase. Even pro-LGBT+ arguments come far behind… we end up wondering if this was-there, too, is not circumstantial.
Mr. Bauer completes his transformation into life coach very hyping by giving his definition of religion: a "Christianity that does good " (sic). No good - du well, some simple well-being. He repeats it often – especially when it is pointed out to him that he is throwing Protestantism out the window. And he assures us that he has the guarantee of… Jesus.

Now Jesus did completely the opposite : all of Christianity is an immense call not to shrink from scandal when the Truth demands it, even if it means whipping the merchants of the Temple and ending up crucified like a murderer. Mr. Bauer preaches that " truth is always subjective »(sic!) [4]See source, which " neither good nor evil is final » [5]See source…and dares to do it in the name of Christ: it’s disgusting.
Note that truth is only relative for God, Morality, unimportant things... and especially for others! Because if Mr. Bauer's religion is inclusive, his theology courses are… outrageously proselytizing. This is evidenced by the “questions” he asked his students:

Protestants of other persuasions must appreciate this brand of religious tolerance in reverse. To then claim " not wanting to impose one's views on anyone[6]See source", it's quite Tartuffe... but so much Woke : demanding open-mindedness for oneself in order to better refuse it to others.
Conclusion
Let's be clear: Mr. Bauer has every right to preach whatever he wants. : that Scripture is not Holy, that God is not a Creator, that Truth, Good and Evil are relative notions… and even to reduce his religion to a happiness coaching inclusive and deconstructed.
Mr. Bauer has every right… except the right to lie about the texts to serve his activism. And especially of still claim to be Christian and Protestant (even liberal) while he rejects everything about this religion, to keep only the name and the associated prebends.
Because the separation of Church and State is not the same as in France in the canton of Vaud: through taxes, the taxpayers of the canton therefore finance both a Protestant pastor who denies his principles and a theologian who does not hesitate to falsify the texts he is paid to study. It is therefore not a problem of faith, but of misuse of public funds.
And unfortunately, typical behavior of Wokes : passing off agit-prop as research, even denying fundamental principles such as objectivity… but insisting on still posing as “sociologists” and “linguists” to maintain an audience and job security. After the “activist-researchers”, here comes the “activist-pastor”.
That our "theologian" teaches at the University of Lausanne does not surprise me: this is the same preaching of Pascal Gygax, the Swiss pope of inclusive language, also relying on rigged arguments. I do not know if Mr. Bauer still has a religion, but I know which chapel he belongs to.
